Sussydle is a small, free site for playing daily puzzle games and comparing scores with friends. It's run by one person, Felix. This page explains what it stores and why.
What we store
- From Google sign-in: your Google account ID and email, used only to sign you in. Your email isn't shown to other players.
- Your profile: the display name, avatar and colour you pick, which groups you're in, which games you've switched off, and the times you opened the site in the last 14 days.
- What you post: your daily game results, emoji reactions and group chat messages.
- On your device: some settings and today's scores are kept in your browser so the site works quickly and offline.
Who can see it
- Your display name, avatar and scores can be seen by other signed-in players, including people in your groups.
- Your profile (including when you last opened the site) can only be seen by you and people who share a group with you.
- Group chat can only be read by members of that group.
- A group's creator can see when its members last opened the site.
- Felix, as the site owner, can technically access all stored data. It's only used to run and fix the site.
What we don't do
- No ads, and your data is never sold or shared for marketing.
- No tracking across other websites, and no tracking cookies.
- The only analytics is an anonymous count of visits per day. It doesn't record who you are.
- If the site hits an error, a short error report (the error message, the page and your browser type, no name or email) is saved so it can be fixed.
Where it's kept
Data is stored with Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Hosting). The database is in Google's Middle East region (Doha, Qatar). Google's own privacy policy applies to how they handle it.
Bot protection
To keep bots and spam out, the site uses Google reCAPTCHA (through Firebase App Check). It runs invisibly and checks that requests come from a real browser on this site. Google may collect device and browser information for this, under the Google Privacy Policy and Terms.
How long it's kept
Your data stays until you delete your account. Daily backups are kept for 7 days, so deleted data is fully gone from backups within a week. Visit times on your profile only cover the last 14 days. The daily visit count has no personal data and is kept as a running total.
Your rights
You can see and change your name, avatar and scores in the site at any time, and delete everything with Delete account. For a copy of your data, or anything you can't do yourself, email the address below and it will be handled within 30 days.
Deleting your data
Open your profile (tap your name) and choose Delete account. This removes your profile, scores, reactions, group memberships and chat messages, and deletes your sign-in account. Groups you created keep their name so other members aren't affected.
Age
Sussydle is for people aged 13 and over. It doesn't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think a child under 13 has an account, email the address below and it will be deleted.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top will be updated and the site will mention it.
